We the congregation of the United Methodist Church at Milltown, accept the love of God through Christ, and we define our purpose and mission as follows: to worship God together and participate in the sacraments; to know and to do the will of God; to provide mutual support for the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs within our own congregation and among others of the local community and beyond -- including the whole family of God; to help persons hear and respond to God's Gospel and identify themselves as God's children, and commit themselves to be God's ministers in the world.
Announcements:
FYI: The Prayer/Bible Group will not be meeting again until after Labor Day. Then the meetings will move to Thursdays at 7 pm. So, the next meeting will be on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at 7pm.
Just a quick reminder the Education Committee will meet on Thursday, September 2 in Friendship Hall.
Great News!!! Milltown Diner is going to donate 10% of all their sales on all Saturday and Sunday's from 11am-3pm. Simply show up and tell your server that you are with the church. So, go out and support your church, and take a break from cooking at the same time.
The next Administrative Council meeting will
be September 28th at 7:30pm.
Remember, Committee Chairs that Church Conference is coming up...so please start getting your
information together so we can get the booklet together in a timely manner. The forms you will need
are on the conference web site...www.gnjumc.org. If you have trouble getting them off line,
just let the church office know and we'll get them too you. Thank you in
advance for your cooperation.
Also, committee chairs need to get their budget requests
to Robin Hart by October 3.
